Post COVID-19, most counties will face the mounting pressures from the health care system, and to avoid a reversal of the health gains made over the past several decades, the countries will have to embark on new ways of thinking of the financial sustainability and resiliency of its health care system to both weather the current and looming challenges as well as achieve its long-term goal of universal access to affordable, high quality health care services for its population. HSD is ready to help countries in responding to this evolving situation. Our expertise also includes appropriate engagement of private sector into health service delivery under the emerging universal health care strategies.

In Cambodia, HSD staff have worked on health equity funds that support access to health services among the poor and vulnerable populations. HSD staff also work with district and provincial managers to improve the quality of care that is provides to clients covered through the health equity funds.
