HSD works with clients to introduce electronic medical records as well as ensure that these are linked with DHIS2 or other data aggregation systems. HSD also has developed digital platforms for improved patient management. We use tools such as Tableau for data analytics that provide real time access to program managers and policy makers.

Over the past decade, HSD staff and consultants have built several digital platforms that help programs improve patient management, infection prevention and control, as well as tools that help in predictive learning, support behavior change marketing, among others. Recently, we have combined our tools into a single platform – UConnect – that supports health programs to deploy comprehensive electronic health records that are supported with voice dictation so that the provider can focus on patient while doing an exam or discussing treatment options, etc.
